Aran Cortes
Cortes is the kind of leader one would expect to have leading a Pirate Rebellion – strong, tactical, brave and fearless. He takes his role very seriously, to the point of being overly gruff and stern, but all in the name of protecting the people of Puerto Angel from the evil Sphere. He understands his responsibilities as the head of his rag-tag family of rebels, but unfortunately has no sense of humor. He is the adoptive father of Cheng, not particularly comfortable as a “father figure” but has great affection for his young son. He also watches over Mahad and Lena as if they were his own children, taking particular task with Mahad, who he sees as having great potential as a leader but is far too headstrong. Previously a part of the original rebellion against the Sphere along with Marcus Farrell (father of Mahad and Lena), he continues the fight for freedom.
