Nickelodeon debuts India’s first family gameshow, Nick Dum Duma Dum on December 18, 2005 on the Nickelodeon India 24-hour channel.
The locally-created gameshow series featuring kids and their families competing against each other in physical and mental challenges, is the very first gameshow developed and produced in India targeting family viewers and featuring actual families.
Nick Dum Duma Dum is a wild test of brains, speed and stamina. Two competing families start the game off with a toss-up physical challenge. The winning family of the toss-up takes control of the game and must either answer questions correctly or perform outrageous physical challenges. The winning team goes into the final Jackpot Round where, one by one, they climb, slip and slide through an obstacle course, hurl their bodies into slime, jump through puddles and more.
Hosted by Vrajesh Hirjee, a familiar face on Indian TV, Hindi movies and in theatre and best known for award-nominated performances in Kaho Na Pyaar Hai and Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai.
