Kappa Mikey chronicles the adventures of Mikey Simon, a struggling American actor who suddenly wins a role on LilyMu, Japan's top rated anime show. When he is recruited to join the cast, his co-stars know immediately that he is the wrong person for the job but the audience disagrees and Mikey quickly becomes Japan's newest rising star. Though he is a fish out of water, Mikey's crazy antics and style lift LilyMu out of the ratings gutter. While enjoying his new found success Mikey must find time to get to know his costars, deal with paparazzi, adjust to Japanese culture and learn to love life inside the fishbowl.
