A Carousel of Fun in Nickelodeon's Weekend Carnival May 5th, 2008 - Philippines
Last April 26, summer fun definitely reached its peak! Kids braved the rain and the heat as we brought to life the different and exciting worlds of much-loved characters. Nickelodeon turned the place into one exciting craze-filled park that will set you on a trail to everything slimy, gooey, adventurous and fun. The splat-filled journey started with activity-filled tents, a fun inflatable and other sizzling hot stopovers such as the face painting and hair coloring station.
Kids attempt to conquer the forces of earth, fire, water and air at the Avatar's Four Nation Action Area where there was a free-for-all play with earth blocks (clay molding), air balls shooting (balls-in-a-hoop game), knock down fire power balls and hit the bull's eye with water squirters. Others went to see lovable farm animals at Diego's Zoolandia or some got harnessed and bounced at the trampoline at Danny Phantom's Fright Flight. For those who wanted to sit back and relax, Dora's Wonderworld was the tent for them as they watched must-see Dora The Explorer and Go, Diego, Go episodes. Of course, nothing beats summer but a "splash down" at the SpongeBob SquarePants' BikiniBottom Bubble Bash tent where kids enjoyed a bubble show and games that helped Patrick Star find his mates and SpongeBob learn to drive a boat!
All throughout the event, Nicksters made noise and joined the Nick Parade led by the drum and bugle corps. And with tilt walkers, amazing animals, fire eaters, never-ending fantastic activities, on and off stage games, they all stayed until 8:00pm and witnessed a Nick-stacular fireworks display which capped one of the event.
It was totally one big adventure and the best summer weekend ever!
